John Mahama, Otumfuo, and Top Dignitaries to Grace 29th GJA/KGL Media Awards at Manhyia Palace

Preparations are in full swing for the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA)/KGL Media Awards, which will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi. The event will be held under the distinguished patronage of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene.

This year’s awards ceremony, themed “Safeguarding Ghana’s Future: The Role of the Media in Promoting Peace, Security and the Fight Against Galamsey,” aims to highlight the crucial role of journalists in promoting national development and responsible governance.

The ceremony will host several high-profile dignitaries, including President John Dramani Mahama, who will attend as Special Guest of Honour and Keynote Speaker, and Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, Speaker of Parliament, as a Special Guest. Also attending will be His Lordship Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, the Acting Chief Justice, and Mr. Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group, the event’s title sponsor.
