A devastating road accident near the Kasoa tollbooth in the Central Region has left several people dead and many others critically injured. The tragic incident occurred on Sunday, October 26, sending shockwaves through the local community.
According to eyewitness accounts, a Sprinter minibus with registration number GW 7455-18, travelling toward Kasoa, crashed violently into the rear of a Jeep 4×4 (registration GR 7673) that was allegedly reversing on the highway.

The impact was so severe that the minibus, packed with passengers, somersaulted multiple times before coming to a halt in a mangled state. Several passengers died on the spot, while others were trapped inside the wreckage until help arrived.

Residents and bystanders rushed to the scene to assist emergency services in rescuing survivors. Paramedics faced serious difficulties transferring one of the critically injured victims after initial treatment at the Ngleshie Amanfro Polyclinic, as no major hospital was immediately available to receive the patient. The desperate transfer process reportedly took close to an hour.


Authorities are yet to issue an official statement on the exact death toll or the circumstances leading to the collision, but investigations are expected to be launched to determine the cause of the fatal crash.
