Asantehene to Present Bawku Mediation Report to President Mahama on December 16
President John Mahama is scheduled to receive the final report on the mediation of the Bawku conflict from the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the presentation will take place at the Presidency at 4:00 p.m.
The report reflects the outcomes of months of peace talks facilitated by the Asantehene, who has been instrumental in efforts to promote reconciliation and address longstanding disputes in the Bawku area.
This initiative underscores ongoing efforts by traditional authorities and the government to foster peace, dialogue, and national unity in conflict-prone regions.
