Nutrifoods Ghana Limited has officially resumed production and distribution of its popular Tasty Tom Enriched Tomato Mix and announced a new factory tour program to give consumers a firsthand look at its production process.
The company says the initiative aims to enhance transparency, build consumer trust, and demonstrate its commitment to maintaining the highest food safety and quality standards. Interested individuals can now apply online to visit the factory and experience the full production journey—from sourcing raw materials to packaging finished products.
This development follows Nutrifoods’ clearance from the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) on September 12, 2025, after the agency completed a thorough assessment of the company’s operations. The FDA’s review reaffirmed that Tasty Tom products meet all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
In August 2025, Nutrifoods voluntarily recalled certain batches of Tasty Tom as a precautionary measure when a few products did not meet internal quality specifications. The company clarified that the issue was limited to specific batches and pack sizes, adding that all concerns have since been fully resolved.
“Our products have always been safe, but we wanted to take every necessary step to ensure continued consumer confidence. With the FDA’s approval, we are back in full production, and customers can enjoy their favourite Tasty Tom with complete assurance,” a company spokesperson said.
Nutrifoods also announced that guided tours will be available every Thursday at 10 a.m. through the first week of January 2026. During these sessions, visitors will be able to see the production process in real time and engage directly with factory staff.
