High Court Postpones Ofori-Atta vs OSP Case to November 25

High Court Postpones Ofori-Atta vs OSP Case to November 25

The Human Rights Division of the High Court has officially postponed the case between former Finance Minister Kenneth Ofori-Atta and the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to November 25, 2025. This decision follows the proceedings that took place on Thursday, October 23, 2025. An update shared by the OSP on its social media platform confirmed the adjournment.

During the recent court session, two motions filed by Mr. Ofori-Atta’s legal team were addressed. The first motion sought discoveries relevant to the case, while the second requested permission to amend the originating motion on notice. These applications faced strong opposition from the lawyers representing the OSP, indicating a contentious atmosphere between the two parties.

The court has directed both sides to submit their written arguments by midnight on October 24, 2025, in preparation for the next hearing. The case, initiated by Ofori-Atta, questions the legality of the OSP’s decision to declare him “wanted” during their ongoing investigations. Mr. Ofori-Atta contends that the OSP has exceeded its authority by making such declarations public. The resolutions on the pending applications are expected to be delivered when court resumes in November.
