Interior Minister Mubarak Muntaka has cautioned that any applicant who fails to report at their assigned screening time for the 2025 Internal Security Service recruitment will be instantly disqualified. According to him, strict adherence to the schedule is essential to maintain order, safety, and fairness throughout the nationwide exercise.
Addressing journalists in Accra on Friday, November 14, 2025, the minister explained that the digital recruitment system will automatically allocate applicants to specific screening centres and time slots. He stressed that arriving earlier or later than the assigned period will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Muntaka noted that the upgraded system allows applicants to monitor their progress — from registration to screening, medicals, and final admission — directly from their mobile phones. This, he said, will curb misinformation, eliminate confusion, and ensure every candidate knows exactly where and when to appear.
To avoid disadvantaging people in communities with poor internet access, the Ministry has also made forms available at commercial banks and Ghana Post branches nationwide.
The minister further revealed that this year’s recruitment has been expanded to include artisans such as electricians, carpenters, painters, and fitters. The age limit for these skilled workers has been extended to 35, with other categories adjusted to widen opportunities for more qualified applicants.
He urged the youth to disregard individuals who claim they can influence the process, insisting that the exercise is strictly merit-based.
“The only way to get into the service is to apply and go through the proper procedures. No one can get you in through any other means,” he emphasized.
